These whole Chrysanthemum tops come from an indigenous varietal to Wuyuan county in Jiangxi province, China. The Ying family produces these competition winning flowers at Xiao Qi farm. By autumn harvest, the blooms are plump with full petals; the tops are simply hand-plucked and dried. Naturally, this tisane does not contain any caffeine. On its own, the brewed tisane has notes of honeycomb sweetness with toasted sesame and an herb-like medicinal finish. It is commonly served with the addition of rock sugar or honey.
